The brace, bracket or bar in front of the system. It is implemented as a spanner.

User settable properties:

collapse-height (dimension, in staff space)

Minimum height of system start delimiter. If equal or smaller, the bracket is removed.

glyph (string)

a string determining what (style) of glyph is typeset. Valid choices depend on the function that is reading this property.

thickness (number)

Bar line thickness, measured in linethickness.
