A centred hyphen is a simple line between lyrics used to divide syllables. The length of the hyphen line should stretch based on the size of the gap between syllables.

height (dimension, in staff space)

in staffspace.

maximum-length (dimension, in staff space)

don't make Grob longer than this

minimum-length (dimension, in staff space)

try to make the Grob at least this long.

Also works as a scaling parameter for the length of hyphen. .

thickness (number)

thickness, measured in stafflinethickness.

word-space (dimension, in staff space)

elongate left (?) by this much (FIXME: cumbersome semantics).
